Training & Workshops

Workshops are held at Perpetual West's office in Calgary, Alberta. We have a modern, fully equipped classroom capable of accommodating eight students per session. With a small class size, our instructors are able to deliver maximum learning value. Here are a few more details:

  • Each student has their own Dell workstation computer with a 20 " Wide Screen monitor to help facilitate the learning process.
  • Access by car is easy and free parking is available.
  • Classes begin at 9:00 am and run until 4:30 pm.
  • Students have a variety of lunch options available to them. Many restaurants are nearby. A microwave is available to those who prefer to bring lunch with them.
  • Hotel accomodation is available at several local hotels. Contact us for hotel information and where to get the best rates.
NV1 Conversion Workshop- $395

** Conversion is available on a customized basis for those companies wanting the conversion done for them,

The one day NV1 conversion workshop begins with an overview of NV2, paying careful attention to the differences between versions. You will learn how to install NV2 and how to convert your books. The new lists of different types of accounts and transactions are highlighted, and you will see how to use NV2 without the need to run procedures.

All topics relating to a smooth and seamless conversion will be reviewed.

You are encouraged to bring your own books. You will learn how to mark NV1 accounts by their different types, how to export NV1 and how to import into NV2. Backing up your books and the new NV2 window system will be covered.

 
NV2 Basics Workshop - $695

The two day Basics Workshop is designed to get an NV2 user up and running as quickly and easily as possible. As the name suggests, it covers all introductory topics, including installation and setup, and the core day to day accounting operations.

You will learn how to operate NV2, how to navigate windows on a database, and how to find data in an instant.

Accounting topics covered include how to create reports, create and maintain accounts, enter transactions of various types, print invoices, statements and checks, and more.
NV2 Payroll Workshop - $395

The one day payroll workshop builds on the Basics Workshop, and participants will be strongly encouraged to attend the Basics Workshop as a prerequisite. NV1 users will recognize the same power and flexibility of NV1 payroll but should be pleased by the completely new, streamlined look and feel of NV2 payroll. You will learn how to create and manage employees of any type, process payroll transactions, edit check printing templates, print pay checks, track and remit payroll deductions, and more. (NOTE: accrual payroll, though under development, will not be included in the initial NV2 release.)

* NV1 users are strongly encouraged to attend the Basics Workshop as a prerequisite.
